    So its doesnt support landscape full work area in large android tablet?

    • @joseph-montanez
      @joseph-montanez 8 часов назад

      It’s a 16:10 aspect ratio you can use it in portrait orientation. You can use orientation lock to draw in landscape, it’s just UI will be weird to use. Since my review XP-Pen has released an Android app “XPPen tools” to let you change this orientation but does not work for android tablets I’ve tested on.

    • @joseph-montanez

      The Deco Mini 7 is going to give you a slightly bigger area, more texture against the pen. I have the same pen for my Deco 01 v2 and it’s fine just the silicone grip became loose after a year. I feel like the Deco 640 is more for a professional that doesn’t have much space to work with, and do not need wireless support. I do prefer the pen on the Deco 640, really like how thin it is, feels like I have more space to work on since my hand can be off the the side and not feel weird from the elevation.

      @joseph-montanez 3 дня назад

      The 8700G is going to be a little bit better performance but nothing more than 10% in multicore. Gaming wise you won’t notice much other than a few frames more. It’s also a 65 watt processor versus the 45 watt from the 8845HS.

    • @Pawan-rt5ps
      @Pawan-rt5ps 3 дня назад

      @@joseph-montanez In the video the Ryzen 7 8700G is giving like 45 to 48 fps( Average fps is 43) at medium settings. So I can believe that my laptop can run it at least at 35 to 40 fps with somewhat lower settings right?

    • @joseph-montanez
      @joseph-montanez 3 дня назад

      The GPU is nearly identical, with a .2 GHZ boost and same core boosts so it should be very close to what you see there. Games don’t leverage all cores, so 10% doesn’t apply here. Do note you need to go into the bios and set maximum performance for the fans, and in Windows power management to get those frame rates.

Is it possible to upgrade the RAM?: The model I bought has 16GB of RAM. I am looking for 16GB of RAM online to upgrade the RAM. Should I buy it? 2. Is the laptop durable? When you turn the laptop 360 degrees several times, has it ever become damaged or impossible to turn?

    • @joseph-montanez
      @joseph-montanez 9 дней назад

      This is the best in class pen tech Huion has to offer for its pen tablets. I would put this as a "pro" level pen tablet, its just stripped down since there is no fancy pen holder, not made of metal and has no buttons. When you start learning to use a pen tablet, I would actually recommend working without pressure and tilt as its all to steep of a learning curve. Its easier to master strokes first then, then work on controlling pressure / tilt. Anyways, if this falls in your price range, there will be nothing better, with its closest next option being XP-Pen Deco LW. I do see the Deco LW on eBay, from XP-Pen themselves, certified refurbished (1 year warranty like a new product) for $60 USD. You can't go wrong with both, but the pen options of the Huion PW517/PW550/PW550s is better over the X3 Elite pen from XP-Pen. If you don't need wireless / Android / iOS support then a ton of options open up.

    • @joseph-montanez
      @joseph-montanez 8 дней назад

      @@isaacro.6138 There is nothing that XenceLabs will give you, other than an extra pen. Its an XP-Pen sister company like Ugee, but their "premium" offering. So you are getting a second pen and better customer support. I would recommend the Deco Pro Gen 2 LW, I love their pen and you get their shortcut keys, which isn't included in with Xencelabs Medium pen tablet. Xencelabs medium also does not support Android, iOS, or ChromeOS, unlike the Deco Pro Gen 2. There is also the HUION Inspiroy Dial 2 as an option but I feel that the X3 Pro pen from XP-Pen is a better pen than the PW517 shipped with the Dial 2.

      @JonelKingas the Deco 640 does have 16k out of the box. The Ugee Q6 has 8k out of the box but a firmware update can be downloaded from the website. You need Windows or MacOS to run the firmware to update the Ugee Q6 to 16k pressure. The before and after difference was not noticeable for the Ugee Q6 it already had great performance. You can also get felt nibs for the Q6 pen from XP-Pen, since it’s the same nib as the X3 Elite pen from XP-Pen. There are no felt nibs for the Deco 640.

    • @joseph-montanez
      @joseph-montanez 10 дней назад

      The PW550s and X3 Elite both have similar initial activation force. The out of the box experience the, the PW550s would win. It’s a straight linear pressure curve and you will see every change in pressure. Also because there is less nib retraction/ wobble, I’ve noticed in writing specially I am less likely to drag the tail end of a letter stroke since the nib isn’t dropping down as much. Now over the X3 Pro pen, that’s where I would prefer the X3 Pro. But that’s only available in the Deco Pro Gen 2 Series. So overall the performance of the PW550s is better than the X3 Elite. I am just not a fan of the slim design, feels too slippery to me.

    • @joseph-montanez
      @joseph-montanez 10 дней назад

      @zane0756 I think for what you get, it’s worth it but I also think it’s overkill for school. I had recently reviewed the Gaomon WH851 which is a medium size 8x5 rather than a 10x6, but you get buttons, same Bluetooth support, great pen. They are both Huion products, in fact the pens work interchangeably between the two. The Gaomon WH851 would probably be a better purchase unless you really are wanting the most compact 10x6, textured and one of the best in class pen performance.

    Hi joseph thank you so much for making this video. I am going through bad hand tenosynovitis in both my hands (especially in the area that connected my thumb and index finger). I am looking to invest in a wacom tablet to use as a mouse as using a regular mouse just does not do it for me and makes the injury come back. Someone on reddit suggested me to get a Wacom Intuos Pro PTH-660 and Use OpenTabletDriver by modifying the DualActionBinds plugin to work with different pressures instead of press/release. I was wondering if you can give it a try and make a video on it maybe? The thing is i do not want to ideally press any buttons on the pen and would like to just use my cursor, do left /right clicks and do select all via the tablet pen. Please also tell me if you can what pen i should get as the lightest pen in weight will probably be the easiest for me to use. In your video you said some pens have buttons that are harder to press than others so if i do have to use the button i would like a light/ easy press as well to put the least amount of force on my joints. I can tell you are suffering from hand issues as well due to work so i feel for you hoping you recover from this soon thanks

      I tried DualActionBinds I don't see that feature. Well you can set it, but it does not let you set any pressure its just on or off. You'd need to use the tip threshold, which is in-dependent. It also only seems to work with keys, not specific to mouse clicking. I dont think the Wacom Intuos Pro M is worth the money if you are just going to use it with open tablet driver. Its multi-touch with features to scroll, tap, zoom, etc.

      @@joseph-montanez thanks joseph i appreciate you i think i will just use the pen to move the cursor and use foot pedals for left and right click, i can use one button on pen for select in bulk/drag feature (just can't do it too often or it will Trigger RSI). I also have issues in my thumb joint as well it's the weakest part of both my hands and because of that I was doing research on what kind of keyboard would suit me it seems like everyone is going for glove 80 but I need something that is super flat like voyager or two apple magic keyboards (as they don't have split), will be using a foot pedal for the space function though

    dont get the digital pen 2 its crap, get a precision pen 2 instead, it is MUCH more accurate, usb rechargable, and has tilt detection (on the same device) so you can shade with it. the included pen feels and acts like a cheap toy, the precision pen 2 doesnt.

      I would say which ever is cheaper for you. Some Yoga's will have HDMI 2.1 TMDS versus HDMI 1.4b, where IdeaPad 5 has a slightly faster CPU (Same iGPU). Everything else is the same, screen, pen, ports, etc.

    I had problems with probe-rs too. After multiple days struggling I got probe-rs working by swapping SWDIO and SWCLK. I have no idea why but it works now. It feels wrong because the raspberry documentation seems to suggest the opposite. My setup is different though as I am on MacOS and use a second pico w as probe. Haven't tried OpenOCD.

    Reistance is futile! Well, I have the Yoga 7 Gen 8 AMD w/o dGPU since almost a year and the pen is easy working on its OLED screen, same as on my daughters one. Interesting enough: i never noticed the lack of the protective rubbers until you mentioned them here 😄 Maybe you should indicate wich driver- and benchmark- versionss youj're using to ease comparison for others. I agree with many of the limitations that you pointed out here, but getting it running on Linux is pretty straight forward. I have created a simple docker with just the packages listed in the Raspberry Pi Pico SDK GitHub repository and it just works fine for the examples that uses the SDK, setting up the Dev environment of the baremetal example is the tough one.

      I ended up giving up on using Swift on the pico. Using the debug probe causes issues with sleep timers (it never ends). However the nail in the coffin, anymore more than their examples, you have to implement a custom dynamic memory allocation and atomic operations. I tried but they all result in panics. So I used -no-allocations, and this was fine with a big exception. Every fixed-sized buffer I created needed its own swift implementation for every single fixed sized. This includes things like splitting a buffer, reversing, etc. Unlike Rust where I can use lifetimes and generics, Swifts generic or even macro system cannot handle this. I was writing swift code to generate more swift code for every sized buffer.

      @Akerdaa there are no other compatible ones. You can buy the same stylus, that’s it. So if it’s the artist 16 and not artist 16 pro, then you’d buy the P55C pen. XP-Pen sells this pen on their website for $15.99 USD.

      @@Akerdaa If you're talking about the Artist Pro 16 Gen 2 versus Artist 16 Gen 2, the pen with the Pro 16 Gen 2, is just worlds a part with the overall fit / finish and performance. I have the same pen with my Deco Pro XL Gen 2 its the best purchase I've made. However if your coming from the first Artist 16, anything is an upgrade at that point.

    Bruh, your the biggest drama queen on YT! I have a CR10-S5 the entire Y-Axis does not weigh anywhere near 30 LBS, the bed does not take 45 minutes to get to 60, Glass build plates are used because glass is always level! It just isn't that difficult ROFL! They do prints slow without Klipper and even with Klipper by todays standards but that is it's only downside! Funny video though! You can use the entire bed with Marlin though you just need to learn to bed level or install an ABL! I bought the EZZBL kit for mine from TH3d back in 2018 right after buying the printer and it has served me well!
